Because spilling of sewage system or septic tanks and inflowing of wastewater from the city landfill into arable land, on the flooded territory of the municipality, the Palilula Municipal Council, at the Assembly session, which was held on Monday 16 March, expressed the concern about possible infection.

Concerning is also the fact that a large area of vegetable crops is flooded with sewage disposal. On this occasion, Palilula Municipality has sent an urgent request of the Public Health Institute in Nis for wastewater sampling, soil and drinking water from Novo Selo, Gornje i Donje Međurovo, and Belotinac (Municipality of Doljevac). Samples in this series will be examined in volume of A examination according to all parameters that are used in this Institute.
